What is BIOS?
The (Basic Input/Output System) is a program used by a computer’s microprocessor during the computer’s start-up that is responsible for turning on your computer. This BIOS is also responsible for managing the flow of data between your computer’s operating system and other devices connected to the computer such as; keyboard, mouse, hard drive, video adapter, or mouse.

Accessing HP BIOS settings
Accessing the BIOS settings is quite easy. First, your HP laptop must be off.
- Press the power button to turn on your laptop.
- Immediately after pressing the power button, press the F10 key repeatedly until the BIOS menu appears on the screen.
If this method doesn’t work, turn off your laptop and follow the steps below.
- Press the power button to turn on your laptop.
- Immediately after pressing the power button, press the escape (ESC) key repeatedly until the Startup Menu appears on the screen.
- Following the instructions on the list, press the F10 key to go to the BIOS setup. The BIOS settings/information will appear.
