Today in this article, I will discuss the error “Please check permission to write or read on the path, or choose another path” in the Wondershare Filmora. Wondershare Filmora is a very popular video editing software with unique features compared to other competing video editing software. If you are using Wondershare Filmora, then you may encounter a new error in the latest version.

When can you encounter this error?

You can encounter this error while;

• Record option like
  • Record from Webcam
  • Record PC Screen
  • Record Voice-over

Causes:

While using the above Record option, Wondershare Filmora needs to generate a video file or audio file at a prefered location. By default, this prefered location is in your Documents in the Local Disk where you have installed your operating system; most likely, it would be Local Disk C. Because of some security reason, Filmora may not have access or rights or permissions to save those recorded video or audio files to those prefered locations.

Solutions:

Methode – 01:

1. Go to Settings of your computer from the Start menu.
2. Click on Update & Security.
3. Click on Windows Security on the left-hand side of your screen.
4. Click on Virus & threat protection.
5. Click on the Protection history option.
6. Click on the Filters button and take your cursor on the blocked actions item. It will open another dropdown list. Click on Blocked folder access.
7. Click on the arrow next to the Low option, and it will give the details of blocked actions. This detail will show the path if those paths are related to Wondershare Filmora as shown below; follow step 8.
   • Protected folder:
     1. %userprofile%\Documents\Wondershare\Wondershare Filmora\Recorded\text Or
     2. %userprofile%\Documents\Wondershare\Wondershare Filmora\Backup\text Or
     3. %userprofile%\Documents\Wondershare\Wondershare Filmora\Installed Effects etc.

8. Click on Action and then click on Allow on Device.
9. Check next item if it is related to Wondershare Filmora perform above step 8. You may see several blocked items for Wondershare Filmora.
10. After performing these steps, try to use screen recording, voice-over or webcam recording to confirm.
