I faced this error while I was in India. Actually, I am settled in Kenya, but I was on a trip to India for family gatherings. For some reason, I tried to download the Indian Apps and faced this error. Now, the reason behind this error was my iPhone’s settings. The region on my iPhone was Kenya, which did not allow me to install an app designed for India. Basically, to use that app I was supposed to change the region from Kenya to India. Follow the steps below to change the country or region on your Apple device to overcome this problem.
How to change country or region on an Apple device?
I will explain the whole solution for my case, and you can apply this solution accordingly.
As I mentioned above, I want to install the app, which is developed for Indian users, so I need an Indian number and need to change my app store account settings to an Indian address.
- Open the App Store on your Apple device.
- Tap (click) on your profile on the top right-hand side of your screen.
- Click on your email or profile.
- Choose the Countr/Region option and click on Change Country or Region.
- Select the country that supports the App you want to install.
- Scroll down to the end of the agreement and click on the Agree option. You can find the option at the top right of your screen.
- Confirm the agreement again.
- Select the payment method and fill in the Billing address details. Ensure the SIM number you use in the billing address is in your device.
- Click on Done once you fill in all the requested details.
