YouTube’s Multi-Language Audio Feature has finally been enabled for my YouTube Channel. This article will help you learning about this automatic dubbing feature.
What Is the Multi-Language Audio Feature?
YouTube has finally rolled out a powerful new feature for creators: multi-language audio tracks! This means I can now upload additional audio versions of my videos in different languages—all in a single video.
Instead of creating multiple uploads for each language, I can now include various audio options, so you can switch to your preferred language just like on Netflix or Amazon Prime Video.
How It Helps Viewers
This feature is perfect for global audiences! Whether you’re more comfortable in English, Hindi, or Gujarati, you can now enjoy my videos in your language with just a few taps.
No more relying on subtitles or missing out on content. It’s inclusive, flexible, and designed for you.
How to Use It on My Channel
It’s super easy to use:
- Open any of my newly uploaded videos.
- Tap the ⚙️ Settings icon.
- Choose “Audio Track.”
- Select your preferred language—done!

Frequently Asked Questions about YouTube’s Multi-Audio Language Feature
Q1. Is YouTube’s Multi-Audio Language Feature for Everyone or Specific Creators?
Currently, this feature is available only to selected YouTube creators. YouTube is slowly rolling it out, mainly to larger channels and channels with international audiences. Over time, more creators will get access.
Q2. What is YouTube’s multi-language audio feature?
YouTube’s multi-language audio feature lets creators add multiple audio tracks in different languages to a single video. Viewers can choose their preferred language without switching videos.
Q3. How do I change the audio language on a YouTube video?
Click the Settings (⚙️) icon on the video, select Audio Track, and pick your desired language from the list.
Q4. Which languages are available on your channel right now?
Currently, my channel supports Hindi, Indonesian, Japanese, Portuguese, Spanish, French, German, Italian, and English. More languages will be added based on viewer requests and depending on the languages supported by YouTube. YouTube is also working to expand the list of available languages in the future.
Q5. Do I need to pay extra to access multi-language audio?
No. It’s completely free for viewers. Just choose your language and enjoy!
Q6. Will all your videos have multi-language audio?
I’m gradually updating my videos with multi-language audio. This feature is available on new uploads, and for some older videos, I re-edit and re-upload them with additional audio tracks. I keep the original video live for now to avoid losing views, because re-uploading an identical video without edits may violate YouTube’s duplication policy.
- Q6.1. Can I add multi-language audio to my old videos?
Currently, YouTube only allows adding multi-language audio to new uploads. However, you can edit your old video slightly and re-upload it with extra audio tracks. This avoids duplication issues and follows YouTube’s policy. I did this successfully, but I kept the original video online to maintain its views.
